Frater Matt Thompson
Catching back up financially can be a tough task for any chapter, but Sigma Lambda has started off on the right track this semester with two strong fundraisers. Fraters Jay Hubbell, Nic Watrous, Matt Thompson, David Hubbell, Sam Tehee, Andy Thomas, and Blake Harrison brought a money making opportunity back from New Orleans, LA in early February. Hundreds upon hundreds of Mardi Gras beads that the fraters acquired for free made for a fun and easy fundraiser! A good portion of the chapter met at Club Effx on Wednesday, February 6th to make an easy $200 dollars selling beads that went into chapter funds.

Another new fundraising idea went well from February 18th through the 22nd. It was called “I’m a Sucker for TKE”. Alumni member Jon Rabovsky donated a $25 dollar Wal-Mart Gift Card that purchasers of $1 suckers had a chance of winning in a drawing. The sucker selling fundraiser made an easy $226 dollars that also went to chapter funds!

The month of February went very well as far as fundraising goes, and new fundraising chairs Colt Ligon and Matt Endacott have set a two-per-month fundraiser goal. Special thanks go out to all the fraters that went to Mardi Gras, the fundraising committee, Frater Rabovsky, and every frater that participated in the two fundraisers!
