RUSH TKE!Not for Wealth, Rank, or Honor, but for Personal Worth and Character...

Tau Kappa Epsilon International Fraternity challenges you to make the most of your life. Becoming a brother, gaining confidence through experience, developing as an individual and a leader, and making the most out of opportunities -- these are the hallmarks of being a Teke.

The strength of Tau Kappa Epsilon International Fraternity is our Brotherhood. TKE men are committed to the principles of scholarship, community service, leadership, friendship, and athletics.  As a Teke, you will pursue a good education, volunteer in your community, participate in social activities with sororities on campus, serve in a leadership role in your school and chapter, challenge other fraternities to athletic contests--and more.

TKE Join The Best

"The Noble Eight-Fold Path of Tekedom," as written by fraternity founders Clarence A. Mayer and James C. McNutt, outlines the following principles:

A Teke will always be recognized as:

1. A man of sterling character.
2. A man whose honesty is never questioned.
3. A man who never violates the integrity of his inner self.
4. A man who is first, last, and always a true citizen.
5. A man who is always glad to support all TKE activities.
6. A man who will always extend a helping hand to a fellow Teke.
7. A man who is always a gentleman, kindly and considerate of others.
8. A man who never forgets that Tau Kappa Epsilon is a Fraternity for Life.

Greek Week 2008, Strong Showing With Limited Players
Monday, 14 April 2008

Greek Week 2008 Many Sigma Lambda Tekes had mixed feelings going into this Springs Greek Week with only 15 members able to play. Not to mention we had to go without many of our best athletes. However, the week began with a blowout football game win against the Kappa Sigmas and gave all the members playing a fiery boost. “It was intense getting the 26-0 victory,” said Scotty "Disco" Bowen. “The fire in the huddle was legendary”.  The chapter went on to lose to the Pikes then beat the Kappa Sigmas again in one of the best Greek Week games ever, which allowed them to face the Pikes in the championship. The Pikes had a talented team that was just too much to conquer. The remaining sports results are as follows:

  • Football - 2 wins / 1 loss (2nd)
  • Soccer - 1 win / 2 losses (3rd)
  • Volleyball - 1 win / -2 losses (4th)
  • Basketball - 1 win / 2 close losses (3rd)
  • Softball - 2 losses (4th)

  • OVERALL - 3rd Place

Although the talent show didn’t technically have any winners or losers, the Tekes were obviously the most enjoyed showing. Fraters Nic Watrous, Sam Crawford, Matt Thompson, and Scott Bowen played “Killing in the Name Of” by Rage against the Machine and “Fight for your Right” by the Beastie Boys. They also played a song they came up with themselves to really pump up the talent show atmosphere.

Greek Week 2008 Top Plays

  • Football
    • Hunter Palmer's diving interception
    • Scott Bowen's go-ahead catch
    • Colt Ligon's game winning defensive play
    • David Hubbell's huge number of sacks
  • Soccer
    • Andy Thomas and Scott Bowen's throw in to bicycle kick goal
  • Volleyball
    • Jay Hubbell never hitting a serve out of play
  • Basketball
    • Sam Tehee's game winning shot from just beyond the free throw line with 7 seconds left on the clock.
